Goat Farming Project
Overview
Instead of short-term aid, this project provides families with the tools they need to generate long-term income and regain independence.
Each family receives two goats (one male and one female) along with training and ongoing support. The goats reproduce approximately every six months, and once the first offspring reaches four months of age, it is passed on to another family through Salam Charity — allowing one donation to support many families over time.
Goals
- Enable vulnerable families to generate a sustainable source of income
- Break the cycle of dependency on emergency aid
- Expand the project to reach entire communities through livestock distribution
- Empower families to support themselves with dignity
- Strengthen local economies through small-scale farming
