Volunteering in Lebanon
Overview
Through direct engagement on the ground, volunteers took part in life-saving and dignity-restoring projects, while gaining first-hand understanding of the realities faced by displaced and impoverished families.
This deployment combined emergency relief, sustainable initiatives, and community support, making it one of Salam Charity’s most impactful volunteer-led campaigns.
Goals
- Engage volunteers directly in humanitarian response projects
- Raise awareness about the living conditions of displaced and vulnerable communities
- Build empathy and long-term commitment through first-hand experience
- Raise funds to sustain Salam Charity’s ongoing projects
- Create ambassadors who advocate for humanitarian causes globally
- Respond to urgent needs while supporting long-term stability
Impact
During the 7-day deployment, the campaign achieved the following:
Food Packs: 300 families (600 boxes)
Bread Bags: 1,050 families (2,100 bags)
Baby Milk & Nappies: 50 families
Hot Meals: 200 families (approx. 1,000 people)
Tent Rehabilitation: 6 large tents restored
Orphan Clothing Support: 50 orphans
Kids’ Shoes: 48 pairs distributed
Hygiene Kits: 100 kits (50 men / 50 women)
Family Visits: 11 families fully sponsored for one year
Recycling Workshop & TukTuk Project Follow-up
Orphan Fun Day bringing joy and psychological relief to children
