Overview

“I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in paradise like this” (Putting his index and middle fingers together)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)

Who is more deserving of help than a child who has no one? Wars, disease, disasters and famine are just some of the realities millions of children across the world face, and through facing these already distressing hardships – often end up orphaned.

Defenceless, vulnerable and having to fend for themselves, many children end up facing horrors we cannot even imagine. Losing one or both parents leads to a harrowing life of poverty, abuse and often not even knowing where their next meal will come from.

Orphan Sponsorship

By sponsoring an orphan or disabled child, our supporters are making a significant difference in the lives of those children, their families and, by extension, their communities. Sponsoring a child is a commitment to changing that child’s life for the better.

It is an investment in humanity – a decision to make sure that the child is not just a statistic or ends up reliant on aid, but is given the hope and opportunity of a brighter and constructive future. Aisha enrolled at one of the top schools in Bangladesh, achieving 100% exam pass rates for four consecutive years.

She was sponsored by Salam Charity and has now successfully completed her secondary school. She plans to become a teacher.
